Growing up, we spent most of our free time in our backyard. As a kid, we enjoy observing nature, playing games, doing science experiments and engage in sports to name a few. Open play areas are areas where your kids play sports and other games most of the time and more time will be spent here as the children grows older. A flat and grassy area is preferred. Moving your kids larger play sets such as swings, see-saws, slides and picnic tables, itll make your kids feel like they have their own playground in their own backyard. Containment is also important aside from these suggestions. If possible, place your childrens play area in a shade. The harmful sun rays can cause not only harm on your childrens eyes but also do damage on skins. The suns rays will also prematurely age your childrens toys and play sets. A shaded tree will be a great help but if not available and play area is not close to the house, a good picnic table with a large umbrella will give them a place of refuge away from the harmful suns rays. In your landscaping, it is also advisable to avoid plants that attract insects such as wasps, yellow jackets, hornets and other stinging objects as they will surely bother your children.Water Features are an excellent way to keep your children cool on warm days.
